AV Dawson Ltd is a long-established business based in Teesside offering a multimodal distribution logistics service encompassing rail, road and sea. The buildings stand at a colossal height of 48m and are the tallest on the Teesport skyline. With over 75 years of experience in the freight transport market, they have always had Harelands Courtyard is in a beautiful rural Yorkshire setting and offers high-quality eco-friendly offices. Each office is designed to provide top-quality, cost-effective, working spaces. There are electric car charging points on-site and available to each office if needed. With many businesses operating out of one location, electricity consumption is high and Harelands were looking for a solution to tackle the energy costs. A keen eye on fuel costs, but having a significant warehousing and property portfolio, increasing energy charges were becoming a major cost to the business and they decided to regain some control of their electricity bills by installing solar PV.

We first began working alongside Harelands Courtyard Offices in 2013 by installing a 50kW system capable of generating over 38,000kWh per annum. We installed all-black panels as aesthetics and preserving the natural beauty of the site was an important consideration. Following our outstanding installation, Harelands returned to us in 2018 to expand their system by another 48kW to tackle the rising cost of energy and ensure their offices were cost-effective and impacted the environment as little as possible.
