The largest family-owned furniture retailer in the UK, Barker and Stonehouse, was committed to sustainability values and looking for a solution to help them meet their green goals and reduce their environmental impact, alongside reducing the effect of the rising cost of electricity. They decided to install solar PV at their flagship store located in the Teesside Retail Park to achieve these goals.

SOLUTION
Having seen first-hand the high quality of workmanship and equipment offered by Duncan Renewables on a nearby project (AV Dawson), we were appointed to complete this installation. Challenged by the restricted capacity of the nearest grid connection, we installed a 115kW system, maximising utilisation under the restricted generation level Northern Power Grid placed on the scheme.

- PV system size: 115 kW
- Number of panels: 441
- Annual kWh generation: 82,255 kWh
