Commer House is situated on the site of the former Tadcaster Rural District Council Headquarters. It provides serviced office accommodation in the heart of Tadcaster. With lots of businesses operating separately comes high electricity demand for a variety of office and business-related equipment and machinery. In a rural location, the owners wanted to reduce the cost of energy whilst providing a sustainable solution.

With a south-facing elevation and no shading obstructions, the roof of this building was well-suited for solar PV. We installed a 27.84kW system, which would create over 23,000kWh per year helping to reduce the cost of electricity for local businesses currently leasing office space within.
